Logan County Detention Center Inmate Telephone System

The Logan County Detention Center has contracted with the ENCARTEL INMATE TELEPHONE SYSTEM provider for our inmate phone service.  These are the telephones currently located in all of the housing units inside the jail for the inmates' use.  We normally do not turn the inmate phone system off thus allowing phone access twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  All telephone calls made from the inmate housing units are collect with instructions on each call of how to accept or refuse the inmate call.  If you do not wish to receive any calls from our jail, please call the jail during normal business hours and tell administration to block your telephone number or call Encartel at the number posted below.  This will prevent any and all calls originating from our facility to ever reach your telephone number.  There is no charge for number blocks.  When inmates are transferred from our facility to another facility or the state institution, all telephones in the housing units are disconnected at our control room, and no phone calls are permitted for a certain period of time due to transporting officers' safety.  The telephone system is subject to call monitoring at any given time.

Telephone Problems

If you should have a problem with your telephone bill due to our telephone service or you want your number blocked from calling, you may contact ENCARTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE at 1-800-562-7062,  and they will make every attempt to settle any problem or dispute.

FURTHER, you can also contact ENCARTEL and use a credit card to set up an account for your inmate to use to make telephone calls at a lower cost that the normal collect calls.  Please call ENCARTEL at 1-800-476-6723 if you are interested in this service.

Harassing Telephone Calls

If you are receiving telephone calls from our facility that are threatening, harassing, or bothersome in any manner, please alert the shift supervisor, and they will address your concern immediately.  We will assist you if you should decide to prosecute the person who is the cause of this type of harassment.
